Benzoyl Chloride (CAS: 98-88-4) 

Benzoyl Chloride is a high value-added core intermediate and basic raw material in the toluene oxidation industrial chain of Wuhan Biet  Co., Ltd. It is mainly applied in pharmaceutical synthesis, polymer initiator preparation, dye & fragrance intermediate production, and agrochemical industry. Its pure form is a colorless, transparent fuming liquid with a strong pungent odor, nearly insoluble in water, and miscible with most organic solvents such as benzene, ether and chloroform. It is the most widely used core reagent in the benzoylation reaction system (a core aromatic acylating agent).

It's applications cover multiple core industrial fields:

1. ‌Pharmaceutical Synthesis‌:
2. As a key intermediate, it is used to synthesize APIs including antibiotics, local anesthetics, anti-allergic drugs and vitamins, and improves the stability and efficacy of drugs by introducing benzoyl groups.
3. ‌Polymer Material Industry‌:
4. It is used to produce benzoyl peroxide (BPO), which serves as a polymerization initiator for acrylic resins, PVC and unsaturated polyesters, as well as a vulcanization/crosslinking agent for rubber.
5. ‌Pesticide and Dye Fields‌:
6. It is a key intermediate for new insecticides and herbicides such as isoxathion, and is also used to produce products like disperse dyes, acid dyes and fluorescent brighteners.
7. ‌Fragrance and Daily Chemical Industry‌:
8. It is used to synthesize fragrances such as benzyl benzoate and ethyl benzoate, acting as a fixative raw material for perfumes and essences to enhance the lasting fragrance effect of daily chemical products.
